French Wine Tasting - The South
France - probably the most famous wine country in the World! Plus it is huge so we're dividing this tasting into two - the North and the South.
And we know if can be confusing - why don't they put the grape variety on the label, what is Vintage Variation? Left Bank vs Right Bank.....what? What is a Claret? Chateau Neuf Du Pape, a B and B wine (big and bold) but why? How do I know I'm buying a good one? What should I look for on the label?
On this tasting we're covering the South of France - so that's the Bordeaux, Languedoc, the Rhone Valley, Provence and anything in between
We'll be tasting at least x6 different wines, we'll be doing our homework to show you...and taste, some great examples #lovemyjob but here's some examples of what we might cover
St Emilion Merlot from Bordeaux......is that left Bank wine or a Right Bank?
Medoc from Bordeaux, what's the dominant grape here?
Chateau Neuf Du Pape from the Rhone Valley
Cote Du Rhone, obvs from the Rhone Valley
Provence famed for rose
Syrah from the Languedoc
Picpoul de Pinet
