Beer and Cheese pairing workshop
Anyone who has an interest in beer can’t help but have noticed the explosion of breweries and beer styles in the UK over the last few years. Most pubs now have a wider selection of cask and bottle beers than ever before, and the options are almost mind boggling!
As well as that the concept of beer and food matching has become a lot more prominent. No longer is wine seen as the best accompaniment for meals, there are many beers that can do just as good a job! The trick is knowing what beer goes with what food and finding out to decide on your matches.
We will taste at least 6 different top quality beers, we will discover how beer is made, what it is that makes them taste so different and the best food match for each.
The matches will include at least some of the following:
IPA with Brie
Amber ale with Comte
Wheat beer with Goats Cheese
Pale ale with Manchego
London Porter with Stilton
The tasting will include use of professional ISO glasses and tasting notes.
