We all know food and wine can elevate each other to gastronomic perfection, well, we’re excited to have the renowned beer expert Rich Higgins here to prove the same is true for beer!
Rich is one of only 16 Master Cicerones in the world! He is also a Certified Sommelier and a brewmaster based in San Francisco. This special class will be co-taught by him and East London Wine School's own wine expert Samantha Alder. This is a rare chance to ask both a certified wine expert and one of the world's leading beer experts all your questions about the world's two best beverages!
In this fun wine and beer class, you'll taste and explore these two BFFs (best friends in fermentation!), using delicious food pairings as the lens for learning about the interplay of acidity, structure, sweetness, carbonation, and aromatics. You'll taste 4 different foods, each paired with its own wine and beer -- 4 wines, 4 beers, and 4 small dishes in total. You'll explore classic and nouveau pairings, learn exactly how and why a variety of wines and beers pair with food, learn the best wines for your go-to dishes, and taste which beers are food pairing ninjas for more than just pub grub! No more sitting in a swanky restaurant feeling like you HAVE to have wine with your meal, we’re giving you the knowledge to break away from tradition 😊.
