Wines of Burgundy
Join us for another stage of our Tour de France!
For this stage of our Tour we go to Burgundy, home of some of France's greatest whites and reds. We will taste steely, lemony Chablis and move on to more honeyed, riper whites of Burgundy, showing the versatility of the Chardonnay grape and how it changes with the addition of oak ageing. Pinot Noir is the great red grape of Burgundy, with famous names like Gevrey Chambertin and Nuits St Georges and we will taste its different styles from light and fruity to rich and opulent. We will also visit Beaujolais and sample its fruity, light wines, ideal for summer drinking.
We will taste 6 specially selected wines which show what the region is capable of, along with some nibbles.
